Thoughts for food

I've been thinking a lot about food lately, mostly because of:

  1. I've been put on high blood pressure medication, so now have to think about what I eat but
  2. Over the last year, as I started my 'fitness journey' (which has actually been pretty good. I joined a Crossfit-like gym near my place in June 2023, where I go three times a week to do lifting and cardio/ HIIT in a group setting, and it's been good to have a routine and get activity in. And lifting is awesome. Though I'm not losing much weight, which brings me back to food), I discovered that I'm not eating enough protein. So last year I was trying to eat more meat. But then my cholesterol, while improving because of more exercise, stayed bad
  3. And also, the other day, while chatting with some coworkers who were in town, I mentioned that I liked cooking, one of them asked me 'what's your go-to recipe?' and realized I didn't have an answer

So now I have to find a go-to recipe that has a lot of protein but also not a lot of salt or fat? Does this mean I have to eat a lot of salmon? If I am consigned to a lifetime of unseasoned chicken breasts I might as well just not bother.

Anyway, I thought this update would be more substantial. But I did just pay for this platform so that's some level of commitment.
